Holly was divorced three times. When she first got married, it was to Danny Quinn. Two years after their marriage, in 1993, they divorced. In 1994, she met Jim Carrey during auditions for Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. They did not give her the role, however the two developed a relationship while working together during the production of Dumb and Dumber. In 1996 they were married. Their marriage was less than one year before they separated in 2001, she married Francis Greco, a Canadian-born investor banker.The couple adopted three sons, their names were Henry, George, and Alexander Holly-Greco. The actress became Canadian in 2008 while she was married to Greco. After divorce, the couple split in 2014. Holly and her three children live within Oakville Ontario Canada. Holly, Grant and their respective families created the A Fund in 1992 at Hobart & William Smith Colleges to honor her brother Alexander. Holly described him as a "boy with a lot of hopes, goals, dreams and plans". He was 14 years of age when he died, but he traveled to Central America and Europe, had lived in New York City, and Los Angeles. His experiences led him to study architecture and archaeology.

Alaina was born on the 8th November 1994, in the home of Kristy and J. J. Suddeth from Rossville, Georgia. Alaina began to sing at the age of three years old. After a vacation lasting a whole year and a year-long break from school, she joined the children's choir. The singer sang in church, in restaurants, during family holidays and anywhere she could within a 30- mile radius. Alaina was the winner of in the Southern Stars Pageant talent contest when she was just 8 years old. Next year, she was selected to take part on the Kids talent stage at the Chattanooga Riverbend Festival. She continued to perform there until she turned 12 old, when she won an event that allowed her to perform at the stage of the Riverbend Festival. At the age of 10 years old, she went to Orlando to compete at the American Model and Talent Competition. She beat 1,500 contestants to claim the title. Alaina was a part of the Georgia Country Gospel Music Association children's choir. Alaina was just 12 years old when she made her first as well as many more trips to Nashville. She also performed in local bars such as Tootsie's in Broadway. Alaina, who is born on the 29th of September 1989 won the WinniSTAR Talent competition, which was open to youth who live at Lake Winnepesaukah.
